What Makes Red Desert Pet Grooming Different?

At Red Desert Pet Grooming, we offer one-on-one grooming sessions in a calm, low stress environment. Your dog gets the groomers full attention from start to finish - no cage drying, no assembly line grooming, just compassionate care and high-quality results

Where are you located?

We're based in La Verkin, Utah and serve surrounding areas in Washington County

Do you groom all dog breeds and sizes?

Yes. We groom all sizes and breeds and are experienced with a variety of coat types and grooming styles.

How do I book an appointment?

You can request an appointment through our website contact form or by messaging us directly. You can also contact us through Facebook or Instagram. We will respond as soon as we are able - If you haven't heard back from us please reach out again.

What's your cancellation policy?

Because of our busy schedule we are requiring at least 48 hours notice for cancellation. If you must cancel or reschedule you appointment less than 48 hours in advance you will be charged 50% of the service that was scheduled via a payment link sent to you via text message. Must be paid prior to next service or will be added to next groom.

No Show appointments will be charged 50% of the scheduled service that will be required before booking another appointment.

Can you help with nervous or senior dogs?

Yes! We have worked with many anxious, elderly, or sensitive dogs. We take extra time and work gently and patiently. Our one on one setup ensures a calm experience tailored to your pet's pace and comfort.

How should I prepare my dog for their grooming appointment?

Please try and make sure your dog has had a potty break. If you dog has any health or behavioral issues we should know about, please let us know ahead of time.

How often should my dog be groomed?

It depends on your dog's coat type, lifestyle, and grooming preferences. On average we recommend every 4-8 weeks to keep your dog healthy, clean, and mat free. For a recommendation specific to your pet please reach out. We're happy to help you create a customized grooming schedule.

What if my dog has mats or tangles?

If your dog has minor tangles, we'll work them out gently. For severe matting, we may recommend a shorter clip for your dog's comfort and safety. We always prioritize your pet's well-being over cosmetic appearance

Do you groom puppies?

Yes! We love helping puppies get comfortable with grooming. We recommend starting around 12-16 weeks of age, once they've had their first vaccinations. Early, gentle exposure sets the tone for a lifetime of positive grooming experiences.

What do you use for scheduling?

We use Gingr for scheduling and keeping track of vaccinations. It has been a great program to keep everything on track. While not required it is recommended that you log onto your profile and update it and review appointment schedules.

If you have appointments with me already scheduled and have not logged in already then you use the phone number I have on file and "Reset Password" to customize your password. If the program asks for the facility code it is 444668

Do you offer mobile Services?

At this time, Red Desert Pet Grooming does not offer mobile grooming services. All appointments are done in our salon in La Verkin, where we provide one-on-one, high quality, compassionate grooming.
